PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The South Park middle school is a new facility replacing the old building.  The new school is a 160,000 SF facility with provisions to serve 2200 students.  IA performed MEP design services as well construction administration services during the construction phase.  MEP design services includes: HVAC design, plumbing, fire protection system design, and electrical power and lighting design.  Engineering services also encompass the design for the fire and life safety system and provisions/support infrastructure for the Information Technology (IT) system.  A state of the art Building Automation System (BAS) was also included to facilitate operation of the sophisticated MEP system.  A new Central Plant consisting of two 200 ton air cooled chillers and associated pumps were also designed to meet the cooling requirement of the facility.
