Market Square Park is one of Houston’s historic locations that once held some of Houston’s first governmental buildings. Now there sits a central lawn space surrounded by walkways, half moon shape dog run, gardens, patios and public spaces for eating and relaxing. This park also holds a water feature monument dedicated to passenger Lauren Catuzzi Grandcolas of flight 93. The gardens that surround this water monument honor those lost in 9/11.
Infrastructure Associates, Inc. provided full MEP systems engineering design and construction documents for Market Square Park in Downtown Houston, TX. The project consisted of electrical provisions for site lighting along the walkways, dog park, gardens and patio areas with incidentals outdoor receptacles and controls to the irrigation systems.
IA provided engineering and design services for all plumbing systems that included the water features, irrigation systems and landscape elements. Electrical, domestic water, and sanitary sewer service modification and upgrades as required. Utility and plumbing lines will be extended and coordinated with existing utilities. MEP was also provided to a storage building adjacent to the park that also has restroom facilities and a custodial room.
Infrastructure Associates, Inc. provided these engineering services as sub-consultant to Lauren Griffith.
