PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project includes the civil and electrical design for construction of a City Park. This is a unique park located inside the site where the historic 1920’s Bethel Baptist Church burned down. The exterior walls of the structure still remain and the park itself will lie on the inside of those remaining walls. Benches, fountains, and designated areas will inspire local community members to enjoy the spaces provided to them. The design includes the stabilization of the remaining walls from the original church which include the original three story front entrance and glass arch. A new drainage system is provided along with renovations to the plumbing system to allow for drinking fountains and water features. The surrounding street curbs and exterior lighting are renovated for evening enjoyment of the park. IA provided engineering design, construction documents, and on-site inspections for this project. IA preformed these services as sub-consultant to White Oak Studio. |
