PROJECT BACKGROUND
The Better Generation Store was a concept of bringing several shipping containers together to create a contiguous store for sneakerheads and graphic-tee enjoyers alike. IA provided MEP system design for this interesting retail concept. Mechanical systems were intended to be “invisible”, so IA coordinated with the project team to deliver a comfortable conditioned environment with minimal impact on the aesthetics of the space, while still allowing for half of some containers to be retrofitted with glazing. The lighting design was done in close coordination with the project architect to deliver a modern clean visual while not taking away from the clothing pieces. IA also provided construction administration services as a part of the scope of services.
