PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This $27 million project consisted of major renovations and addition to the existing 280,000 SF high school in Rosenberg, Texas. IA provided MEP engineering services for renovations and addition of 20,000 SF of classroom space. Engineering effort included preliminary facility and site assessment to evaluate existing condition and utilities, and preparation of design and construction documents for contractor to perform construction. Scope of work included addition of two new chillers to existing central cooling district (Plant) to accommodate addition of new space as well as compensating for mandated outside (Fresh) air increases for all facility, design of new air handling units and ductwork serving new spaces and upgrade of existing, new exhaust system, new hot/chilled water piping, lighting and power renovations and upgrades, new fire alarm system, and new fire protection and sprinkler system. |
