PROJECT BACKGROUND
To meet the parking demand for the ever expanding Lone Star College System Montgomery Campus, a new 1000 automobile parking garage was commissioned to design-build team of contractor, architect, and engineering team. Infrastructure Associates performed MEP system design for this facility. In addition to the primary function, this garage also houses the central command center for the campus police department. Infrastructure Associates provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing design services including the HVAC system, plumbing system, fire protection, electrical distribution, communication system, indoor lighting and pole-mounted High Intensity Discharge lighting for the roof level of the parking garage. Infrastructure Associates provided a full set of MEP construction documents suitable for permit and bid and provided construction administration services. The garage also houses the central command center for the campus police department. The command center is positioned along the major travel path of students, teachers and campus visitors. Emergency generators ensure the command center will remain operational during severe weather and natural disasters. |
