PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The University of Houston Hilton College project consists of a new 8-story, 70-key guestroom hotel expansion with dedicated elevators, fitness center, and back of house areas. The project also includes renovation to the existing hotel lobby, lounge, and existing 8-story tower consisting of 80 guestrooms. Total area of the renovation and new tower is roughly 120,000 square feet. Infrastructure Associates provided MEP design as a sub-consultant to Kirksey Architects for both the renovation and expansion of the hotel. IA provided new utility connections to the UH central plant for chilled water, and UH underground network system for redundant electrical service. IA also provided design for the fire alarm system and provisions for low voltage systems including telephone, communication, and security in accordance with owner requirements. IA coordinated closely with the project lighting designer, interior designer, and landscape architect for lighting, special features, and ceiling system design. |
