PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The renovation of the Massad library included a number of telecommunications, security and audio-visual upgrades. The design included locating data communications outlets, cabling pathways and a new communications room. Audio-visual infrastructure was designed to support the connection and use of projectors in separate study/conference rooms. Wireless access points were added to provide roaming access to the campus network for students within the library. A radio frequency identification (RFID) system was designed to support book check-out. Finally, access control was designed on the entrances to the library that would allow those assigned access rights, the ability to enter different areas of the library using the standard University credential. |
